ABOUT CHIPSTEAD F.C.

Up at Chipstead FC we strive to manage the balance between an inherent Corinthian spirit and the demands of Ryman league football. We have perhaps one of the prettiest settings for football of any standard in the country and the success of the club is a testament to the hard work and dedication of many volunteers over our rich 103 year history.

We own our ground and our charitable status safeguards this facility for the continued enjoyment of future generations.  We are extremely proud of the fact that the Surrey FA uses our ground to showcase their youth cup finals (from Under 10's to Under 17's) and this year our Under 17's won the Under 18 Surrey Cup at Leatherhead Football Club - quite an achievement!

We are dedicated to providing an environment for youth players that promotes the highest standards of football competency, good behaviour and sportsmanship - values espoused by Chipstead old boys such as Steve Sidwell at Aston Villa and Leon McKenzie at Coventry City. We provide opportunities for the local community for ages ranging from 4 years old (at our Saturday morning Soccer School ) up to 50+ at our occasional veteran fixtures for those who should be old enough to know better!  Many of these veteran players have played for Chipstead in days gone by when we played at junior level but they return because we have retained the core values often associated with amateur team sport.

We run 12 youth sides up to under 17's plus an under 18's, reserves and senior side which represents Chipstead in the Ryman league. We will continue to strive to "punch above our weight" in the true Corinthian spirit in the exciting world of Ryman football often visiting towns and stadia far bigger than Chipstead (we travelled to Torquay last season as part of our record breaking run in the FA Cup).  Playing at this level provides a marvellous incentive and example for the younger members of our club and also provides the opportunity for Chipstead locals to see regular soccer of a high standard.  So if you want to see your local team please come up and visit us - fixtures are displayed on the web site - www.chipsteadfc.com  Pop into the bar before and after the game on Saturday afternoon or midweek and enjoy good football, a warm welcome and be part of the Chipstead FC experience.

We are currently looking for an individual to fill the role of Senior Secretary. This is an extremely important role within any soccer club and the rigours of organisation and administration are as one would expect for a Ryman level side - the Senior Secretary's role is focussed solely on the 1st Team. This is an excellent opportunity to be involved in the daily administration of a soccer club and be a key member of a great local asset.  As with all of our executive posts this is an honoury position and, whilst experience in this sort or role is preferable, we have a wealth of knowledge within the club to support the learning process for the right candidate.
