Chipstead Football Club are sad to announce the death of Tony Eggleton, who passed away on 25th July 2026. Sadly, Tony had been unwell for a number of years.
Tony and his son Steve joined the club in 1987, when Steve played for Alan Brett’s U10’s team.
Tony took great pleasure in supporting Chipstead throughout the youth age groups, and followed the first team home and away for the 10 years that Steve was a regular player, and beyond.
The club meant a great deal to Tony with countless special memories made with very dear friends. Tony’s memorable laugh will live on in many hearts!
Our thoughts go out to his wife, family and friends.
The memorial service will be held at 12:45 on Wednesday 26th August 2026 at Surrey & Sussex Crematorium, Balcombe Road, Crawley, West Sussex RH10 3NQ
After the service Tony’s wife Dee and children Lisa & Steve would love for you to join them for refreshments at Chipstead Football Club.
