Chipstead endured a frustrating afternoon on a dry dusty pitch at Camberley Town, who ultimately took the points with two second-half goals in the latest round of matches in the Cherry Red Records Combined Counties League Premier Division South on Saturday

Chips were unable to benefit playing downhill in the first half, although they enjoyed the majority of the possession - Abioseh Davies was first in the action, tumbling awkwardly on the rock hard surface, but he was able to continue - Marley Burton-Bell was then squashed by the tumbling home keeper, as they both duelled at a corner, after good work by Edd Mbango

Chipstead keeper Tiago Santos David then received treatment after a heavy challenge following a long throw-in - but his side soon began to apply pressure - the home keeper managed to tip away Yonas Emhatsion's dangerous cross with two teammates ready to pounce at the far post - Diego Munoz & Davies then combined well down the left, but the chance was snuffed out, before Emhatsion saw his drive palmed on to a post by the keeper

Mbango made a great run forward, before seemingly being taken down in the penalty area, but the referee gave a free-kick on the edge of the box, which Michael Agyemang hit low & into the wall - Mbango had another shot, which bounced awkwardly in front of the keeper, but he recovered to gather the ball, & then Munoz battled well down the right to prevent the ball drifting out for a goal-kick, but his cross couldn't find the head of a striker

James Mansfield's cross from the left went just beyond the far post, before Santos David was forced to touch a rare home attack onto the crossbar & over at the other end - there was just time for Mbango to see the ball run away from him downhill, & it remained goalless at the break

After the interval, Chips tried to push on, with Munoz busy in midfield, but he shot wide, yet it was Camberley who took the lead just after the hour mark, as the defence couldn't clear the ball, & it was turned in at close range

The home side thought they had quickly doubled their lead, but the flag was up for offside

Chipstead introduced their substitutes as they strove to get back into the game, but the killer second goal came with eight minutes to play - as Chips pushed players up at a corner, so Camberley broke away & scored 

There was no time for a comeback, but Chipstead remain 8th in the league table ahead of next Saturday's home game with Sheerwater
