Chipstead's young hopefuls found it tough against one of the league's top sides, as they lost 6-0 at home to Woking on a freezing Monday night in their latest match in the Isthmian Youth League Central Division
Woking were 4-0 up by halftime, seemingly taking every half-chance, which came their way - a few promising runs forward by Oscar Pegler were Chips' brightest moments
Yet they regrouped at halftime, subbed their keeper & looked tighter - Nuthan Nutakor had a shot saved low down by a post by the visiting keeper, & sub Louis Higham shot just over
The busiest person on the pitch in the second half was the assistant referee, who gave Woking offside 8 times, 5 in the first 10 minutes
However, Woking scored a 5th goal, which seemed to spoil Chips' momentum
They even scored a 6th, as the final whistle approached, with keeper Lewis Markley just beaten to the ball at his near post
Chipstead remain 7th in the league table, ahead of another tough game at home to Kingstonian in 7 days, although they do still have a cup tie with Sutton Common Rovers to look forward to
