With the Chipstead under-18s just 9 days away from the final of the Thorpe Park Surrey FA Under 18 Midweek Youth County Cup at Dorking Wanderers’ Meadowbank stadium, they unsurprisingly fielded a completely different line-up for their game in the Marsh Youth League Central Division on Monday night - a Teknika college side of 1st years, with only 2 2nd years involved, so it was largely an under-17 side, which will give them experience for next year, & it didn't give much away as to which players will start the final - a different formation was played too, & the lads were told to be nice & pretty, and play out from the back, when the tactics in the final will be a lot more direct, so there might be an element of surprise, as any sort of upper hand will help
Met Police scored in the 11th + 16th minutes to gain a 2-0 halftime lead, then scored 3 more in the second period in the 55th, 60th + 63rd minutes to give them a 5-0 victory at the High Road, but Chipstead get another workout in just 3 days, when they visit East Grinstead in the league on Thursday before the big final next week
