After last week's goalfest in which Chipstead finished defeated 7-5, they looked to make amendsĀ in their latest match in the Anderson Travel Isthmian League Youth Central Division on Monday night at the High Road, where they hosted Chertsey Town, & things went perfectly to plan
They went ahead on 13 minutes through Abel Vendrells, then hit a post & Daniel Berry turned home the rebound for 2-0
Tom Smith was credited with the 3rd after a goalmouth scramble, when it was finally allowed by the officials
Chertsey's evening was made harder, when their no. 2 was sent off for a 2nd yellow card, but George Craig's free-kick dipped just over the bar, & it remained 3-0 at halftime
Vendrells soon jinked his way through the Chertsey defence to fire home for 4-0, before Berry made it 5-0
Substitutes were introduced for fresh legs, & to keep up momentum, and Aaron Joseph made it 6-0 shortly after
Baldwin Kaluya, back in goal, having little to do, pushed away an awkward bouncing ball for a corner, before Leon Starkey-Dyer, with a sublime chip over the keeper, made it 7-0 to end the game
