Chipstead were unable to prevent a strong Kingstonian side from claiming all three points at the High Road on Monday night in their final home game of the Anderson Travel Isthmian League Youth Central Division season, as they lost 4-2
Kobi Asante gave them the perfect start, slotting past the visiting keeper for 1-0, but K’s equalised after a goalmouth scramble
Baldwin Kaluya was down smartly to his right to push away a free-kick for a corner, & it remained 1-1 at halftime
Kingstonian took the lead, when their no. 10 looped a shot over Kaluya & into the far corner to make it 2-1
Asante then broke clear, but lifted his shot over the bar
A deflected shot gave K’s a 3-1 lead, but Charlie Fisher, on as sub for Farid Salifou, reduced the deficit to 3-2, placing the ball into the corner of the net
Asante then hit another shot straight at the keeper, before K’s made it 4-2 with a tap in at the far post, & that’s how it finished, with Chips now 5th in the league table before their final game at Met Police
